A young woman, Lady Sable is captured by the Sheriff and held prisoner in the castle. Meanwhile, Prince John manages to get her to confess that she has hidden a precious diamond that belongs to him. / Lubin, a young peasant farmer, has raised a thoroughbred that helps him with the farm work. The Sheriff wants to take the horse in payment for Lubin' family' debts. Robin suggests Lubin enters for the horse race organized by Prince John and pay off the debts with the winnings.
