Robin Hood: Mischief in Sherwood is an animated adventure series created by Method Animation and DQ Entertainment. The show is aimed at younger audiences and follows the adventures of Robin Hood and his band of mischievous friends in the forest of Sherwood.

The first episode of season one is titled "The Conquest of Sherwood / Private Lessons." The episode opens with Prince John and his army invading Sherwood Forest, intent on capturing Robin Hood. However, Robin is quick to outsmart them, leading them on a wild goose chase through the forest.

Meanwhile, Robin's merry band of friends - Little John, Friar Tuck, and Skippy - are up to some mischief of their own. They've managed to sneak into the castle and steal some valuable items, much to the dismay of the castle's guards.

Eventually, Robin and his friends reunite and devise a plan to take back Sherwood from Prince John's forces. They set up a series of traps and obstacles, using their knowledge of the forest to their advantage. The climax of the episode sees a thrilling battle between the two sides, with Robin and his friends ultimately emerging victorious.

In the second half of the episode, Robin takes on a new apprentice - a young boy named Peter. Robin attempts to teach Peter the ways of the forest and how to survive in Sherwood, but Peter proves to be a bit of a handful. He's more interested in playing pranks and causing trouble than learning how to be a proper outlaw.

As the episode progresses, Robin and Peter's relationship grows, with Robin acting as a sort of mentor to the young boy. Ultimately, their bond is put to the test when Peter's prankster ways inadvertently put the entire band in danger.

"The Conquest of Sherwood / Private Lessons" sets the stage for the rest of the season, introducing the main characters and establishing the show's lighthearted tone. The episode is full of exciting action and humor, making it a great choice for children and families.
