Rob the Robot is a Canadian animated television program that teaches the young audience various concepts related to science and technology. In episode 16 of season 1, titled "Chee-Easiest Mission Ever," Rob and his friends embark on a mission to retrieve a rare mineral known as Chee that can power their vehicle.
The episode begins with Rob and his companions -- Stomper, Ema, and Orbit -- traveling through space in their spaceship. They have been searching for Chee for a long time, and finally, they have found the perfect spot to retrieve it. The mineral is located on a planet called Easy. As its name suggests, Easy is supposed to be an easy place to navigate, and Rob and his friends are excited about it.
Upon landing on Easy, the gang realizes that the planet is indeed easy to navigate. There is no rough terrain, no challenging obstacles, and no dangerous wildlife. Everything on the planet is easygoing and simple, which initially delights the group. They assume that their mission will be a piece of cake, and they will return to their spaceship in no time.
However, things take an unexpected turn when they reach the location of the Chee. They find that the Chee is embedded inside a rock, and it is not easy to extract it. Despite using their advanced technology, they struggle to remove the mineral from the rock. Meanwhile, they observe that the Chee appears to be attracting a strange and unknown creature towards itself.
As the group continues to work on the mineral extraction, they start hearing some strange noises. It is revealed that the noises they are hearing are coming from the creature that is attracted to the Chee. As the creature comes closer, they find out that it is an adorable, cat-like alien. The alien seems to like the Chee a lot and is determined to protect it from anyone who tries to take it away.
This kitty-like alien might be cute, but she is very tenacious and persistent in her attempt to protect the Chee. And even though the gang does not want to hurt the alien, they also don't want to give up on their mission. Thus, they are left with a conundrum. They do not know how to extract the Chee while also respecting the alien's wishes.
Rob comes up with a clever idea to solve the problem. He recruits Orbit, who is a tiny robot, to distract the alien while the team can extract the Chee. Orbit, being small and nimble, can easily dodge the alien's swipes and keep her occupied. While Orbit does his job, the rest of the team meticulously extracts the Chee from the rock.
After some struggles and misadventures, the team manages to retrieve the mineral without further upsetting the sweet, furry alien. They realize that they had underestimated Easy and its challenges. Even though the surface seemed easy, they had to overcome a lot of obstacles to complete their mission. And by working together, they found a way to achieve their goal without hurting anyone.
The episode ends with the group taking off in their spaceship, happy and relieved that they have acquired the Chee. They are excited to put the mineral to good use and continue their adventures in space. "Chee-Easiest Mission Ever" is a fun-filled and educational episode that teaches kids to work together and persevere in the face of challenges.
