Rick and Morty season 3 episode 6, "Rest and Ricklaxation," takes viewers on another wild adventure with the dynamic duo. The episode begins with Rick and Morty returning from one of their adventures, visibly stressed and exhausted from their experiences. As they enter their home, they notice a mysterious green ooze on their shoes and decide to head to the bathroom to clean up.
Upon getting into the bathroom, Rick and Morty step into a machine that he claims will remove all the toxins from their bodies. Unbeknownst to them, the machine has the power to separate the good and evil parts of their personalities and create two separate beings. The "toxic" parts of Rick and Morty are expelled from their bodies, and their "healthy" parts are left behind.
The two newly formed versions of Rick and Morty appear to be the total opposite of their original selves – laid back, carefree, and without a care in the world. The toxins, however, take on a life of their own and become extreme versions of themselves. This storyline sets the stage for an episode filled with comedic relief and thought-provoking ideas about the nature of personality and the importance of balance.
As the story progresses, the now "toxin-free" Rick and Morty go about their lives without a stress in the world. Rick relaxes with a drink and some jazz music, while Morty gets back in touch with his artistic side. The two are in total bliss, but soon realize that they have become too apathetic and nonchalant about everything.
Meanwhile, the "toxic" versions of the duo are causing chaos wherever they go. They embark on a crime spree, causing destruction and mayhem throughout the city. This version of Rick and Morty seems to be living their best life without any inhibitions or remorse for their actions.
Throughout the episode, the storyline jumps between the two versions of Rick and Morty and their different experiences. Along the way, viewers are given plenty of hilarious and thought-provoking moments that showcase the duality of human nature. The episode also delves into deeper themes, such as the nature of identity and whether or not people can truly change.
As for the ending, fans will have to watch for themselves to find out what happens to "toxic" and "healthy" Rick and Morty. However, the journey to get there is well worth the watch and will leave viewers laughing and contemplating the world around them. Overall, "Rest and Ricklaxation" is another top-notch episode of Rick and Morty that fans won't want to miss.
