Rhoda realizes that she can't continue living with the guilt of her lie, and decides to tell the truth. She goes back to the IRS and tells them everything. Jack is furious with Rhoda, and fires her on the spot.

Rhoda is devastated, but she knows that she did the right thing. She goes home to her family, who rally around her and support her. The episode ends with Rhoda starting to rebuild her life, knowing that she did the right thing.
