Ep 4. A Pig's Greed

Subaru, who has yet to reveal his ability to "Return by Death," heads to the royal capital with Emilia and the others in preparation for the royal selection. As he speaks with Roswaal and Frederica, Subaru learns that the mansion is under surveillance. Subaru meets Otto and causes a scene at the marketplace, where they find a merchant selling a robe that is identical to the one he wears. After a conversation with Otto and Rem, Subaru is kidnapped by a group of criminals who rob his belongings and leave him severely injured. He is then saved unexpectedly by Garfiel, who takes him back to the mansion where he begins to recover. Things get difficult for Subaru as he becomes entangled in the politics and power plays of the kingdom, and he must rely on his wits and strategy to survive. As he continues to uncover the secrets of his world, Subaru must confront his own inner demons in order to continue on his journey towards the truth.
