Ep 2. Reunion with the Witch

Subaru wakes up to find himself back in the alleyway where he first arrived in the new world. He is initially confused and alarmed, but he quickly remembers what happened and tries to head back to the mansion to warn Emilia about the impending attack. Along the way, he encounters a group of thugs who threaten and attack him, but Subaru is able to use his knowledge of the future to fight them off and escape.

As he continues on his journey, Subaru realizes that he cannot seem to die. Even when he is killed, he is resurrected back in the same spot where he first arrived in the world. This is a shocking realization for him, and he struggles to come to terms with the fact that he is stuck in an endless loop of death and resurrection.

Eventually, Subaru makes it back to the mansion and finds Emilia under attack by the same group of thugs he encountered earlier. Using his knowledge of the future, he is able to help Emilia fend off the attackers and escape to a safe location. Emilia is understandably wary of Subaru, as he seems to know an awful lot about her and the world they are in.

As they talk, Subaru learns that Emilia is actually a half-elf who is searching for something called the insignia. He realizes that he may be able to help her find it, given his repeated experiences in the world. However, their conversation is interrupted by the sudden appearance of a mysterious figure who introduces herself as Satella, the Witch of Envy.

Satella has been rumored to be responsible for the killing spree that has been happening in the area, and Subaru is understandably frightened by her appearance. However, to his surprise, Satella seems to have a fondness for him and even gives him a nickname. She disappears as suddenly as she appeared, leaving Subaru and Emilia shaken and confused.

Despite the unsettling encounter with Satella, Subaru is determined to help Emilia find the insignia and set things right in the world. He accompanies her to a nearby village, where they begin their search for the artifact.

The episode ends with Subaru reflecting on his experiences in the world so far. He realizes that his ability to die and come back to life has given him a unique perspective on the world and the people in it. However, he also knows that he must use this ability wisely if he hopes to accomplish his goals and help those around him.
