Ep 7. Charade

In the seventh episode of the first season of Revenge, titled "Charade," Emily Thorne continues with her plan to take down those responsible for her father's wrongful imprisonment and death. Emily responds to a new threat by throwing a charity event at the Grayson estate, but the real purpose behind this party isn't just to raise money for charity.

As Emily goes about her preparations for the event, it becomes clear that her ultimate goal is to use this opportunity to uncover the truth about the Grayson family, particularly Victoria Grayson. She has reason to believe that Victoria is the mastermind behind her father's downfall, and she's determined to prove it.

The episode kicks off with Emily receiving a piece of news that sets her plan in motion: a photograph has surfaced that appears to show Victoria Grayson, dressed in an Orange County Jail jumpsuit, with a man who is being arrested for drug trafficking. Emily believes that she can use this photo to her advantage, so she decides to throw a big charity event at the Grayson estate.

The event quickly becomes the talk of the town, with everyone from politicians to socialites clamoring for an invite. Emily uses her connections to ensure that every big name in the Hamptons is in attendance, including members of the press. However, while she's busy making sure that everything goes according to plan, she begins to uncover some uncomfortable truths about her own background.

Meanwhile, Daniel Grayson is dealing with some issues of his own. He's having a hard time dealing with his father's expectations, and he's beginning to feel like he's lost his individuality. When he meets a girl named Sara who is unimpressed by his wealth and status, he begins to see things in a new light.

As the party gets underway, Emily's plan begins to unfold. She's set up a series of traps to catch Victoria in a lie, and she's also arranged for the press to be in attendance so that she can get the evidence she needs to take Victoria down. However, things don't exactly go according to plan.

Throughout the course of the evening, Emily uncovers a number of secrets, some of which are her own. She learns that Victoria may not be the only one responsible for her father's death, and she also discovers that her mother may be closer than she thought. As she tries to stay one step ahead of her enemies, Emily realizes that she's playing a dangerous game.

In the end, Emily's plan doesn't go exactly as she had hoped. While she does manage to uncover some damaging information about the Grayson family, she also realizes that she may have walked into a trap of her own. The episode sets up a number of new storylines that will undoubtedly contribute to the overarching narrative of the show, but it also leaves viewers with a number of questions. What will Emily do next? Will she be able to get revenge on those who have wronged her? Only time will tell.
