Ep 17. The Prank That Gets Botched

As the seventeenth episode of the first season of Revenge Prank titled "The Prank That Gets Botched" begins, we see two close friends, Matt and Dylan, engaging in some good-natured ribbing on the basketball court. Dylan decides to up the ante by pranking his friend and enlists the help of Revenge Prank's host, Pauly D, to pull it off.

Dylan tells Pauly D that he wants to prank his friend Matt by making him believe that he's won a brand new car in a local radio station contest. Pauly D agrees to help and they set out to make it happen. They take Matt to a Mazda dealership under the guise of getting a tour and the salesperson announces that Matt is the winner of the radio station contest. Matt is thrilled, but Dylan is secretly laughing on the inside, knowing that the car is not actually his.

As the trio exit the dealership, they see the supposed brand new Mazda suddenly start to smoke and make a loud noise. The car then bursts into flames, and the salesperson flees in terror. Dylan is enjoying the prank to its fullest; that is until they realize that the car they torched is not a prop and that it actually belongs to a customer who was at the dealership. The prank has officially backfired.

In a panic, the trio flees the scene and decides to go into hiding until the heat dies down. The rest of the episode follows them as they try to cover their tracks and evade the authorities who are hot on their heels. Their friendship is put to the test as they navigate a series of mishaps and misunderstandings that threaten to unravel the entire prank.

Along the way, they meet a cast of characters who may or may not be trustworthy, including a shady car dealer, a sympathetic tow truck driver, and a group of street performers who may hold the key to their salvation. As the night wears on, tensions rise, and the trio becomes increasingly desperate to find a way out of their predicament.

Ultimately, they are forced to confront the consequences of their actions head-on and learn that sometimes, the most well-intentioned pranks can turn out to be disastrous. Whether or not they repair the damage they've done and continue their friendship remains to be seen.
