Ep 4. Carlotta's Way

In the Republic of Doyle season 4 episode 4, entitled "Carlotta's Way," the Doyle family is once again diving headfirst into a challenging investigation. This time, their client is a young woman who was recently released from jail after serving time for drug possession. Carlotta is determined to turn her life around and get back on the right path, but she's struggling to find work and navigate the many obstacles that come with a criminal record.

Enter Jake and his team, who are tasked with helping Carlotta locate her younger sister, who she hasn't seen in years. As they begin to dig into the case, they quickly realize that Carlotta's sister is in much deeper trouble than anyone realized. As they work to unravel the mystery surrounding Carlotta's sister, the Doyles find themselves getting pulled deeper and deeper into the seedy underworld of St. John's, Newfoundland. With each new clue they uncover, they're forced to confront the possibility that they may not be able to save everyone involved in this dangerous game.

Meanwhile, Jake is also dealing with some personal issues. His estranged wife, Nikki, has returned to St. John's, and he's struggling to figure out what he wants from their relationship. Adding to the complication is the fact that Nikki is now working as a high-powered lawyer, which brings her into direct conflict with Jake and his investigative work.

As the episode progresses, tensions run high as the Doyles race against the clock to save Carlotta's sister and unravel the web of intrigue that surrounds her. With plenty of twists and turns along the way, "Carlotta's Way" is a thrilling addition to the Republic of Doyle canon that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end.
