In Reno 911! season 3 episode 2, titled "Revenge of Mike Powers," the incompetent deputies of the Reno Sheriff's Department once again find themselves in hot water. This time, they are faced with the return of former deputy Mike Powers (played by Patton Oswalt), who blames them for his firing and seeks revenge.
As soon as Mike Powers arrives back in Reno, he begins causing chaos for the deputies. He starts by stealing the sheriff's car and leading them on a high-speed chase through the city. After he crashes the car and runs away, the deputies realize that they are in big trouble.
Meanwhile, Deputy Junior (played by Robert Ben Garant) is dealing with some personal issues of his own. He has been put in charge of planning a surprise party for his girlfriend's birthday, but he is struggling to come up with the perfect idea. With the help of his colleagues, he tries a variety of different options, from a cake made entirely of bacon to a bouncy castle in the shape of a unicorn.
As the episode continues, Mike Powers becomes more and more of a nuisance for the deputies. He breaks into their station and steals their equipment, sets off explosives in the desert, and even kidnaps one of their own. The deputies are at their wit's end trying to catch him, but every time they get close, he manages to slip away.
Eventually, they realize that the only way to catch him is to use his own ego against him. They stage a fake press conference, pretending that Mike Powers is the subject of a big manhunt, and invite him to attend. When he shows up, thinking that he is going to be the center of attention, they arrest him and bring him back to their station.
The episode ends with Junior's girlfriend's surprise party, which ends up being a huge success. Although they are all exhausted from their encounter with Mike Powers, the deputies are able to let loose and enjoy the celebration.
Overall, "Revenge of Mike Powers" is a hilarious and action-packed episode that showcases the comedic talents of the Reno 911! cast. With its over-the-top stunts, ridiculous plot twists, and memorable characters, it is sure to leave viewers laughing and wanting more.
