Ep 22. Hitman

Wealthy dying hit man Michael St. John (MICHAEL DES BARRES) offers Reno a tempting but dangerous opportunity. St. John has terminal cancer and a 12-year-old daughter, Lisa (COURTNEY PELDON), who is confined to a wheelchair. If Reno agrees to be Lisa's guardian, St. John promises to clear Reno's reputation and train him to take over his business. Meanwhile, Bobby observes St. John conferring with Reno's archnemesis, Lieutenant Dutch Dixon (recurring guest star STEPHEN J. CANNELL), and concludes that St. John's offer is a trap. Despite Bobby's expressed concerns, Reno continues to deal with St. John. But when Reno's final test is to kill Dixon, he must choose between the law he swore to uphold and his freedom.
