Ep 2. The Trial of Reno Raines

When Reno stands trial for the murder of police officer Buzzy Burrell, his quest for justice is complicated by Lieutenant Dutch Dixon (recurring guest star STEPHEN J. CANNELL), who plans to ensure that Reno never arrives in court alive. Renowned attorney R.W. "Thack" Thackery (NANCY EVERHARD - "Reasonable Doubts") must use all her legal expertise to free her client while trying to incriminate Dixon (the real murderer) at the same time. In the meantime, Bobby and Cheyenne search for Hound Adams, who can prove Reno innocent of any wrongdoing. But Hound is unwilling to provide crucial evidence without being paid well for it. Despite Dixonls numerous schemes to kill Reno, the trial begins, leaving Reno and Thack struggling to strengthen their weak case in order to give Reno his long-sought freedom.
