Convict Marvin Montgomery (TINY LISTER) escapes from a prison transport bus when it crashes. The former heavyweight boxing champion was imprisoned for driving a car while intoxicated and killing a young boy. The state's district attorney, Douglas Russell (MARK METCALF), believes that Montgomery deliberately caused the accident and demands his immediate recapture. Montgomery's flamboyant manager, Michael Prince (RICHARD GANT), uses the incident to publicize himself and his belief that his client is innocent of the original crime.
