Ep 12. Val's Song

For months, renegade cop Reno Raines has searched for the man who framed him for the murder of a fellow detective. He works as a bounty hunter to earn money to pay for the hospital care of his fiancee, Valerie Prentice (DEPRISE BRESCIA), who's in a permanent coma from an assassin's bullet meant for Reno. Lt. Donald "Dutch" Dixon (STEPHEN J. CANNELL) and Sgt. Bickford (RON JOHNSON) lead the secret "death squad" that Reno was investigating before they hired a killer to silence him. When Dixon learns Valerie is dead, he releases a story to the news media stating that she recovered instead. As Dixon hoped, this lie brings Reno out of hiding. As Reno sadly views Val's corpse in the city morgue, Dixon and his men ambush and jail him.
