Mordecai and Rigby are back for another adventure in the Regular Show season 8 episode 5, titled "Video 101." The episode follows the misadventures of the two best friends as they try to create a promotional video for the Park.
Mordecai and Rigby are trying to make a promotional video to attract new visitors to the Park. They realize that they have no experience in making videos, so they decide to enroll in a local community college class called "Video 101."
At the beginning of the episode, Mordecai and Rigby attend their first class, where they meet their eccentric teacher, John Sorrenstein. John is a washed-up video director who is very passionate about his craft and dreams of making his comeback in the industry by training his students.
During class, John assigns the students a group project, and Mordecai and Rigby are paired with a new student named Steve. Steve is a straight-A student who is very serious about his academic career, much to Mordecai and Rigby's annoyance. Although initially suspicious of Steve's ability to contribute to the team, Mordecai and Rigby soon realize that they need Steve's help to ace the project.
As they work on their video, Mordecai and Rigby start to realize that making a video is much harder than they thought. Steve takes charge of the team and helps them create a storyboard and script for their video. Meanwhile, Mordecai and Rigby try to come up with creative ideas to make their video stand out from the rest.
As the deadline for the project approaches, Mordecai and Rigby start to feel the pressure. They decide to sneak into the Park after hours to film extra footage for their video, but things start to go wrong when they accidentally break a statue. The duo tries to hide the evidence and continue filming, but they soon realize that they have made a huge mistake when the statue's owner catches them in the act.
Mordecai and Rigby's future at the college is at risk, and they try to find a way to salvage the situation. Steve comes up with a plan to include the footage of the broken statue in their video and use it as a comedic element. Initially hesitant to go along with Steve's plan, Mordecai and Rigby eventually agree on the condition that Steve will take full responsibility if things go wrong.
On the day of their presentation, Mordecai, Rigby, and Steve nervously present their video to John and the rest of the class. To their surprise, their video is a hit, with the audience laughing at the broken statue scene. John is impressed with their work and praises the team on their creativity and storytelling skills.
As the episode comes to a close, Mordecai and Rigby realize that they have learned a valuable lesson about taking responsibilities for their actions and working together as a team. They also realize that they have discovered a new passion for making videos and are excited to try their hand at making more in the future.
Overall, Regular Show season 8 episode 5, "Video 101," is a hilarious and heartwarming episode that follows the misadventures of Mordecai and Rigby as they try to make a promotional video for the Park. With the help of their new friend Steve, they learn about teamwork, creativity, and the importance of taking responsibility for their actions.
