Mordecai and Rigby are back at it again, trying to come up with the best quips and one-liners to impress each other and their coworkers at the park. But when a new guy comes to work at the park and proves to be the king of witty comebacks, Mordecai and Rigby's competitive nature is kicked into overdrive.
Determined to outdo the new guy, Mordecai and Rigby embark on a quip-off that takes them all around the park, from the snack bar to the dumpster. As they sling insults and jokes back and forth, their coworkers begin to take notice and join in the fun.
But when the new guy reveals that he has a tragic past and has been using his quick wit as a defense mechanism, Mordecai and Rigby begin to feel guilty for their behavior. They realize that their obsession with coming up with the perfect quip has blinded them to the feelings of others, and they set out to make things right.
In the end, Mordecai and Rigby learn that true wit and humor comes from a place of empathy and understanding, and that the best way to impress others is to simply be kind and genuine. With this new insight, they are able to apologize to the new guy and make a new friend in the process.
