In Regular Show season 2 episode 3, entitled "Peeps," our favorite slackers Mordecai and Rigby are tasked with getting a new batch of peeps for Benson's Easter party. When they visit the store to purchase the peeps, they notice that the peeps are being sold at an outrageous price due to being in high demand during Easter. This puts Mordecai and Rigby in a difficult situation as they are in charge of getting the peeps but can't afford them at the current price.
Soon after, the duo comes up with an idea to create their own peeps by using a candy-making machine that was hidden in the storage room. However, they quickly realize that their homemade peeps are not as delicious or popular as the store-bought ones. Determined to impress everyone at the party, Mordecai and Rigby decide to add an extra ingredient to their peeps: sugar from the park's sugar tree.
While their new recipe is a hit at the party, they soon realize that their actions have consequences. The sugar tree, which is supposed to be protected, has died from being stripped of too much sugar. Benson is furious with Mordecai and Rigby for killing the tree and they must find a way to fix their mistake before it's too late.
Throughout the episode, we see the usual hijinks and laziness from Mordecai and Rigby, but we also see a deeper sense of responsibility as they try to make up for their mistake. The episode also tackles themes of greed and the consequences of taking things for granted. "Peeps" is a fun and entertaining episode with a meaningful message.
