David puts in motion his plan to win over Skye by taking her on a romantic picnic. While they enjoy the beautiful scenery, David pulls out a heartfelt letter he's written and reads it to Skye. Meanwhile, Nash is concerned about his failing marriage and seeks advice from Getty, who suggests that he take a break from his wife and explore the world of online dating.
Elsewhere, Wheeler is torn between his current girlfriend Misty and his ex-girlfriend Karen, who unexpectedly shows up at Red Oaks. Karen is desperate to win back Wheeler's heart and he finds himself drawn to her once again. However, he knows that he needs to make a decision and stick with it.
As the summer season begins to wind down, Getty and Barry reflect on their experiences at Red Oaks and contemplate their futures. Getty is unsure about his next steps, while Barry is confident that he wants to pursue a career in music.
Back at the country club, Doug is dealing with a new challenge: his father-in-law has taken over management of the club and is making changes that Doug doesn't agree with. He tries to stand up to him, but quickly realizes that he may not have the power to make the changes he wants.
As the episode comes to a close, several characters find themselves at a crossroads, unsure of where their lives are headed. Will David and Skye finally get together? Will Nash be able to salvage his marriage? Will Wheeler choose Misty or Karen? Only time will tell.
