The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2012 is an adrenaline-filled competition that showcases the world's best cliff divers as they compete in a series of gravity-defying acrobatic dives from dizzying heights. The event is broadcast on Red Bull TV, and it allows viewers to experience the excitement and danger of this extreme sport from the comfort of their homes.

The 2012 series featured eight events held across seven countries, with each event featuring up to 14 divers from around the world. The divers compete in both men's and women's categories, and they are judged on the degree of difficulty and execution of their dives.

The beauty of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series is that it takes place in some of the most stunning and remote locations in the world. From the azure waters of the Azores to the rugged cliffs of Ireland and the stunning coastlines of Mexico and Oman, the series showcases the natural beauty of these locations while providing a thrilling spectacle for audiences.

The competition features four rounds of diving, with the first three being generally easier dives that allow the divers to warm up and get a feel for the conditions. The fourth and final round is where the divers pull out all the stops, attempting their most complex and difficult dives in a bid to impress the judges and take home the top prize.

The diving platform is typically perched atop a cliff face or rock outcropping, and the divers must make their way down a narrow path or climb down a ladder to reach the platform. From there, they face a dizzying drop as they leap off the platform and plummet towards the water below.

The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series is not for the faint of heart, as the divers reach speeds of up to 85 kph as they hurtle towards the water below. The dives themselves are complex and intricate, with the divers executing flips, twists, and somersaults in the air before plunging into the water with a stunning splash.

The judges of the competition score the divers based on their takeoff, flight, and entry into the water, with extra points awarded for degree of difficulty and overall style. The scores from all four rounds are tallied up to determine the winner of the competition.

The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series is a testament to the courage and skill of these incredible athletes, who risk life and limb to push the boundaries of what is possible in this extreme sport. It is a thrilling and awe-inspiring spectacle, and it showcases the beauty and power of the natural world in a way that few other sports can.
