In season 2 episode 6 of Reba, titled "Safe Dating", Reba tries to teach her daughter, Kyra, about safe dating practices, but ends up learning a thing or two herself. Kyra is going on a date with a boy from school, and while Reba is happy for her, she wants to make sure her daughter is safe. She lectures Kyra about not getting in the car with a boy and using protection. Kyra promises to be safe.

Meanwhile, Van, Reba's son-in-law, has a new job working as a security guard for a shopping mall. He is trying to impress his boss, and when he finds a group of teenagers smoking in the parking lot, he tries to scare them off by saying he is a cop. They don't believe him, and when they find out he's just a security guard, they start to make fun of him.

Back at home, Kyra comes back from her date and is visibly upset. She tells Reba that her date, David, tried to force her to have sex with him. Reba is furious and goes over to David's house to confront him. David's mom opens the door and tells Reba that David is not home, but she invites her in to talk. While they are talking, David comes home and is surprised to see Reba there. She confronts him about what happened with Kyra and David denies that anything happened. Reba tells him that she believes her daughter and tells him to stay away from her.

The next day, Van comes to Reba's house and tells her that his boss wants him to dress up as the mall's mascot, a giant rabbit, to attract more customers. Reba thinks it's a bad idea, but Van wants to keep his job. He puts on the rabbit suit and starts walking around the mall. At first, he is self-conscious and embarrassed, but then he starts to get into it and even starts dancing.

Meanwhile, Reba is still worried about Kyra's safety and decides to talk to her again. Kyra tells her that David has been constantly texting her and won't leave her alone. Reba tells her to block his number and takes her phone to check it. She sees that David has been sending inappropriate texts and pictures to Kyra. Reba calls David's mother and tells her what he has been doing. David's mother is shocked and promises to take care of it.

Later, Reba and Van are at the mall and Van is still in the rabbit suit. A group of teenagers start making fun of him again, but this time Van stands up for himself and tells them to stop. Suddenly, the teenagers start to run away and Van realizes that they stole a purse from a woman in the parking lot. Van chases after them and catches one of them, getting back the purse. The woman thanks him and tells him that she is a cop.

At the end of the episode, Reba and Kyra are talking and Kyra apologizes for not listening to her mother about staying away from David. Reba tells her that she's proud of her for telling her what happened and that she's always there to listen. Van comes back, no longer wearing the rabbit suit, and tells them about his heroic act at the mall. The episode ends with the family sitting around, laughing and joking together.

Overall, "Safe Dating" is an episode that deals with serious issues like consent and inappropriate behavior, but also has moments of humor and heartwarming family moments. It's a great episode for fans of the show and anyone looking for a thoughtful and entertaining sitcom.
