Reba Hart is a single mother of three and recent divorcee who is trying to navigate the ups and downs of starting over. In season 1 episode 15, "You May Kick the Bride," Reba's daughter Cheyenne is getting married to her high school sweetheart Van, and the wedding is just a few days away.
Reba is feeling a mix of emotions about the wedding. On the one hand, she's excited to see her daughter get married and start her new life, but on the other hand, she's worried about the state of Cheyenne and Van's relationship. They've had their share of ups and downs, and Reba wonders if they're really ready for marriage.
As the wedding draws closer, tensions rise between Cheyenne and Van. They argue about everything from the color of the bridesmaids' dresses to the menu for the reception. Reba tries to stay neutral, but she can't help feeling like Cheyenne and Van are headed for disaster.
Meanwhile, Reba's ex-husband Brock is dating a much younger woman named Barbra Jean. Reba is not a fan of Barbra Jean and thinks she's only with Brock for his money. When Barbra Jean shows up at the wedding rehearsal wearing a white dress, Reba sees red. She confronts Barbra Jean and tells her off, causing a scene in front of everyone.
As the wedding day arrives, everything seems to be going smoothly until Cheyenne and Van have a huge fight. They both storm off in opposite directions, leaving everyone at the wedding wondering what's going to happen next.
Reba is torn between wanting to support her daughter and wanting to let Cheyenne make her own decisions. She talks to Van and tries to convince him to come back to the wedding, but he's stubborn and refuses to budge. Reba then talks to Cheyenne and tells her that she needs to make the decision that's best for her, even if it means calling off the wedding.
In the end, Cheyenne and Van reconcile and decide to go through with the wedding. They say their vows, exchange rings, and kiss passionately as everyone in attendance cheers them on. Reba breathes a sigh of relief and realizes that no matter what happens in life, family is always there to support you.
