Simon Goes Quackers! is the eighth episode of the first season of the popular children's show Ready, Steady, Wiggle!. The episode begins with the lovable Wiggle, Simon, in a bit of a silly mood. He's acting a bit quackers, if you will. The other Wiggles are a bit concerned about Simon's behavior and try to snap him out of it by suggesting they play a game.
The game they choose to play is "Guess What Animal I Am." This game is a hit with the Wiggles, but Simon keeps forgetting the animal he's supposed to be and quacks like a duck instead. While the other Wiggles find this amusing, they also recognize that Simon's behavior is not normal and something is causing him to act this way.
After the game, the Wiggles decide to take a trip to Captain Feathersword's ship. On the way, Simon continues to act a bit quackers, but the group starts to notice something different about him. He's quacking more and more like a duck, and his movements are becoming rather duck-like too.
Once they arrive at the ship, Captain Feathersword shares that he's been visited by a magical duck who has cast a spell on Simon. The spell has turned him into a duck! The group decides that they need to help Simon break the spell so that he can become a Wiggle once again.
To break the spell, the group needs to find a special feather that is located in a nearby pond. The only problem is that the pond is guarded by a giant crocodile. The Wiggles are nervous about approaching the pond, but Simon decides to take matters into his own hands (or wings) and quacks his way over to the pond to retrieve the feather.
After a bit of duck waddling and a run-in with the crocodile, Simon retrieves the feather and returns it to Captain Feathersword. Captain Feathersword explains that the feather only works if it's given willingly, and Simon must choose to break the spell himself.
Simon takes a moment to think about his decision, but ultimately decides that he wants to be a Wiggle again. He breaks the spell and transforms back into his usual, silly self. The group is elated to have Simon back to his old self and they sing and dance together on the ship.
The episode concludes with Simon reflecting on his time as a duck, and the group sharing that even though it was a bit scary, they learned that anything is possible with a bit of courage and determination.
