In Ready Jet Go! season 3 episode 3, audiences are introduced to a fascinating topic that many have marvelled at for years: asteroids, meteors, and meteorites. The episode takes place in the neighbourhood of Boxwood Terrace, where Jet Propulsion and his friends are currently residing. As they explore their neighbourhood, they become curious about these objects from space, and Jet Propulsion is happy to share his knowledge with his pals.

The episode begins with Jet Propulsion, Sydney, Sean, and Mindy playing in the park when they notice something interesting in the sky. Jet Propulsion observes that it's an asteroid, and the children are shocked by the information he imparts to them. Jet explains that asteroids are rocks that orbit the sun, and there are thousands of them in our solar system. He also tells them that asteroids are the source of meteor showers, which many of the kids have seen.

As the day goes on, the kids continue to be amazed by the things they've learned. Jet continues to be a wealth of knowledge, explaining the differences between meteoroids, meteors, and meteorites. He tells them that meteoroids are rocks that are too small to classify as asteroids, while meteors are made once meteoroids pass through our atmosphere. Finally, once a meteoroid lands on earth, it becomes a meteorite.

The kids are intrigued by these objects from space and can't wait to learn more. While Jet Propulsion explains to them that asteroids are essential to the existence of life on Earth, they notice Mindy building something in her yard. Sydney, Sean, and Jet hurry over to see what she is doing and observe that she is setting up a meteorite stand. Mindy is extremely interested in meteors, and she's offering her collection for a fair price.

As the group examines the meteorites, they discover that each one has a unique origin. Some come from Mars, while others come from the moon, and others even originated from asteroids like the one they watched pass over their neighbourhood earlier in the day. Mindy is thrilled to share her passion for all things space rocks with her friends, and she eagerly imparts her knowledge about the various meteorites in her collection.

As the kids are examining the meteorites, an unexpected event occurs. A meteoroid crashes into the ground right in front of them. They notice that it's not a meteorite because it's still quite hot, which means it's come directly from space. Jet Propulsion is thrilled because he's never seen anything like this before. He explains that this is a rare occurrence because most meteoroids burn up completely before reaching the ground.

The episode concludes with Jet and the kids examining the meteoroid and trying to discern where it might have originated. They all have their theories, but only time will tell. The episode is a fascinating exploration into the world of space rocks and helps children develop an interest in science, a love for space, and a passion for learning. Viewers of all ages delight in the information presented in this exciting episode of Ready Jet Go!
