In the second episode of season three of Ready Jet Go!, entitled "Solar System Bake-Off/Kid Dart Derby", the gang prepares for a fun day of competition. First up is the Solar System Bake-Off, in which the kids must bake and decorate cakes to look like the planets in our solar system.
The kids get to work, measuring and mixing ingredients to create their cakes. Jet and Sydney make Earth and Saturn cakes, respectively, while Sean opts for Uranus. But as they decorate their planets, the gang realizes that they've all made mistakes; Sean's Uranus cake has too many rings, Jet's Earth cake is slightly lopsided, and Sydney's Saturn cake looks more like a giant donut than a planet.
Despite the imperfections, the kids present their cakes to the judges and nervously await the results. When the winners are announced, the gang is pleasantly surprised – all three of them have placed! Sean's second place Uranus cake was praised for its unique spin on the planet's rings, while Jet was commended for his creativity in making Earth look like it was spinning. And though Sydney's Saturn cake didn't look quite like the real thing, the judges couldn't resist its delicious taste and awarded her first place.
With the Bake-Off over, it's time for the Kid Dart Derby. The gang has fashioned their own miniature rockets out of juice boxes, and they're ready to compete in a race to see whose rocket can travel the farthest.
Sean goes first, but his rocket veers off course and lands in a nearby tree. Jet's rocket doesn't fare much better – it falls straight to the ground shortly after takeoff. But Sydney's rocket soars through the air, landing a few feet away and winning her the competition.
Feeling proud of their efforts, the gang realizes that it's not always about winning – sometimes it's just about having fun and trying your best. They end the day with a group rocket launch, cheering each other on and celebrating their shared love of space exploration.
