Watch R5 Sons Alaska

Steve and Denise run the Rainy Pass Lodge, a secluded resort that is Alaska's oldest hunting and recreation lodge. They also have five grown sons, and that family forms the basis for this reality series. R5 Sons Alaska was produced by the family, which means that the show doesn't have a lot of the conflict and anger you'll find on a lot of the TV shows that are set in Alaska. Each episode shows the family working through their problems while doing all of the work necessary to keep the Rainy Pass Lodge working in proper order.

There are some exciting moments, ranging from angry grizzly bears to small planes that threaten to fall out of the sky. But most of the storylines are more slice of life, along the lines of a new woman joining the family or a son who is considering a move to the big city of Anchorage.
