Quarterlife was a drama series from NBC that aired in 2007-2008. The show was created by Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick, the duo behind the critically acclaimed shows My So-Called Life and thirtysomething. The show starred Elizabeth Tulloch as Dylan Krieger, a young writer who is navigating her way through life in Los Angeles.

The premise of the show is that Dylan is a twentysomething blogger who shares her deepest thoughts with the world through her blog, "quarterlife." Her blog serves as a window into her life, as we see her struggles with relationships, career choices, and self-discovery. The show follows Dylan and her circle of friends as they try to make sense of their lives and find their place in the world.

Dylan's friends include Lisa (Maite Schwartz), a struggling actress who is dating Dylan's ex-boyfriend; Debra (Michelle Lombardo), a fashion designer whose relationship with Dylan is strained due to their different lifestyles; and Jed (Scott Michael Foster), a struggling musician who is also Dylan's ex-boyfriend.

One of the unique aspects of the show was its format. Each episode was around 43 minutes long and was shot in a style that was reminiscent of a home video. The show was also notable for its use of split screens, which were used to show multiple characters' perspectives at once.

The show explores a number of different themes, including the challenges of growing up and finding one's place in the world, the complexities of modern relationships, and the difficulty of balancing work and personal life. It also deals with issues such as addiction, depression, and the pressure to conform to societal expectations.

Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, Quarterlife was able to build a dedicated fanbase during its short run. The show was also notable for its use of social media, as the characters in the show were shown using platforms such as Facebook and MySpace to connect with each other and share their thoughts with the world.

Despite its promising start, the show was cancelled after just one season due to low ratings. However, the show's legacy lives on, as it was one of the first shows to incorporate social media into its narrative and explore the challenges facing young adults in the 21st century.

In conclusion, Quarterlife was a unique and engaging drama series from NBC that explored the challenges facing young adults in the modern world. While the show was cancelled after just one season, it was able to build a dedicated fanbase and left a lasting impact on the television landscape. If you're a fan of shows that deal with complex relationships, coming-of-age stories, and the struggles of young adulthood, then Quarterlife is definitely worth checking out.
