The episode titled "Something to Prove" in season 2 of QB1: Beyond the Lights follows the journey of three high school quarterbacks vying for a spot in college football and ultimately the NFL. The episode begins with a look at Re-al Mitchell's situation as he attends a prestigious football camp at the University of Oregon. After a successful competition, Re-al returns home to California to begin preparing for his upcoming senior year. Despite his recent triumph, Re-al is still feeling the pressure to prove himself and secure a scholarship to a Division I school.

Meanwhile, in Georgia, the spotlight is on Justin Fields as he prepares for his final season at Harrison High School. Justin is already committed to playing at the University of Georgia, but he's determined to finish his high school career on a high note. He works tirelessly with his coaches to develop his skills on the field, but he's also focused on building his mental toughness to become a better leader for his team.

Finally, we meet Lance LeGendre, a quarterback from New Orleans, Louisiana, who is considered a dark horse in the race to the college football and NFL draft. Lance is a dual-threat quarterback, which means he has the ability to both throw and run the ball effectively. However, his journey to success is not without its challenges. His high school, Warren Easton, is not as well-known for producing football talent as some of the other schools featured in the series. Additionally, Lance is dealing with the pressure of being a student-athlete, as he balances his athletic commitments with his academic responsibilities.

Throughout the episode, we see these three young men navigate the highs and lows of their respective journeys. They attend practices and workouts, visit college campuses, and work with coaches and mentors who are invested in their success. However, they are also faced with setbacks and obstacles that threaten to derail their dreams. For Re-al, it's the pressure to live up to his reputation as a rising star in the football world. For Justin, it's the expectation that he will live up to his commitment to the University of Georgia and deliver on the promise of his potential. And for Lance, it's the challenge of proving himself to recruiters and coaches who may not see his potential as clearly as he does.

Throughout it all, however, these three quarterbacks remain determined to succeed. They are fueled by their love of football, but also by their desire to prove themselves and make their families and communities proud. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, as all three quarterbacks face new challenges, but viewers are left with a sense of hope and anticipation for what's to come for these talented young athletes.
