Each episode introduces new criminals with unique motives and backstories, requiring Akane and her team to investigate and guess what these people will do next. Along the way, they encounter a mysterious villain known only as "Makishima," who has a deep-seated grudge against the Psycho-Pass system and seeks to bring it down.
