Ep 1. Shawn Rescues Darth Vader

In the season 6 premiere of Psych, titled "Shawn Rescues Darth Vader," our favorite fake psychic detective duo is back in action. The episode opens on Shawn and Gus attending a comic book convention, where they stumble upon a kidnapping case involving a young boy named Joey. Joey is the son of a wealthy businessman who has been abducted and held for ransom.

Shawn and Gus, being the detectives that they are, decide to take on the case and rescue Joey. Shawn believes that the kidnapping is related to a rare and valuable Darth Vader action figure that Joey had recently been the owner of, and sets out to figure out who has stolen the toy and who has taken Joey.

Along the way, we get to see some classic Shawn and Gus banter as they navigate the convention floor, interviewing various cosplayers and comic book enthusiasts who may have information about the kidnapping. We also get to see some fun pop culture references, including a hilarious encounter with the actor who played Booger in the movie Revenge of the Nerds.

As the investigation heats up, Shawn and Gus find themselves in some dangerous situations, including a run-in with someone who is very protective of their comic book collection and a dangerous car chase. But they ultimately solve the case and rescue Joey, proving once again that they are one of the best duo of detectives around.
