In the second episode of the fourth season of the popular crime-comedy show Psych, entitled "He Dead," Shawn and Gus are hired to investigate a murder that appears to be a clear-cut case of death by natural causes. However, when the deceased's will is read and his family members begin behaving suspiciously, the duo realize that something more sinister may be going on.
As they delve deeper into the case, Shawn and Gus discover that the victim, a wealthy businessman, had many enemies and hidden secrets. The investigation takes them to a funeral home, where they uncover some crucial evidence, as well as a suspicious mortician played by guest star William Shatner. They also encounter a mysterious woman who may hold the key to solving the case.
Meanwhile, Juliet and Lassiter are tasked with investigating a string of burglaries that seem to be connected to a single suspect. However, they are stymied by the fact that the thief is able to break into highly secure locations without leaving any evidence behind. With Shawn and Gus preoccupied with the murder case, Juliet and Lassiter must work together to catch the elusive burglar.
As with all episodes of Psych, "He Dead" is filled with witty banter, pop culture references, and hilarious hijinks from Shawn and Gus. But it also includes a compelling mystery plot that will keep viewers guessing until the very end. With excellent performances from the entire cast, including another standout appearance by Shatner, this episode is a must-watch for fans of the show.
