Shawn and Gus stumble upon a dead body while on the set of a Spanish soap opera. Word gets out about their assist in solving the high-profile case and they are hired by the producer of the show to help clear the cast and crew of any potential suspects. Shawn is excited because he is a big fan of the lead actress, Selene, and immediately becomes starstruck.
As they investigate, they discover that there are a lot of secrets hiding behind the glitz and glamour of the show. Shawn and Gus must navigate around the tempestuous relationships on set, as well as the director's erratic behavior, in order to find the killer. The investigation takes them on a wild ride through the show's set and into the personal lives of the cast and crew.
Meanwhile, Juliet and Lassiter are dealing with the fallout from Lassiter's decision to testify against a fellow officer. Juliet tries her best to support him, but tensions are high between them. Lassiter must come to terms with the fact that his decision may have consequences for the rest of his career.
As the investigation heats up, Shawn and Gus find themselves in danger and must use their wits to outsmart the killer and save their own lives. The case takes a surprising turn as they discover the true motive behind the murder and the identity of the killer.
In the end, justice is served and the killer is brought to justice, but not before Shawn and Gus have one final run-in with danger. The episode wraps up with a heartfelt moment as Lassiter expresses his gratitude to Juliet for standing by him during a difficult time.
