Project Runway Junior is a reality television show that aired on Lifetime from 2015 to 2017. The show is a spin-off of the popular fashion design competition, Project Runway, but features teenage designers aged between 13 to 17 years. The show aimed to showcase the talents of young designers by having them compete in a series of fashion challenges.

The show was hosted by model Hannah Davis and fashion designer Christian Siriano, who also provided mentorship and guidance to the young designers throughout the competition. The show also featured a panel of judges, including fashion editor in chief of Seventeen Magazine, Ann Shoket, designer and Project Runway alumni, Kelly Osbourne, and Aya Kanai, executive fashion director at Cosmopolitan and Seventeen magazines.

The competition was held in New York City and spanned over ten episodes, during which the young designers were tasked with creating a variety of fashion looks based on different themes and challenges. The challenges ranged from creating a red carpet look for a celebrity to designing an outfit inspired by The Beatles.

In each episode, the contestants presented their designs on the runway where they were judged on their creativity, originality, and execution of the challenge. The judges provided critiques and feedback to the contestants, and ultimately decided who would win and who would be eliminated. The winner of the competition received a full scholarship to the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, a feature in Seventeen Magazine, and a cash prize of $25,000.

The contestants on Project Runway Junior were a diverse group of young designers with different backgrounds and design aesthetics. For example, Zachary Fernandez was an 16-year-old designer from Florida who was heavily influenced by his Cuban heritage and often incorporated bright colors and patterns into his designs. Samantha Cobos was a 16-year-old designer from California who was inspired by her Mexican-American background and often incorporated embroidery and lace into her designs. Brandi Vicks was a 15-year-old designer from Kentucky who loved to experiment with different fabrics and textures in her designs.

The show not only aimed to showcase the talent of young designers, but also emphasized the importance of mentorship and teamwork. The contestants were often seen working together to help each other complete their designs or provide feedback and support. Additionally, the mentorship provided by Siriano was a central aspect of the show, and many of the contestants spoke about how Siriano's advice and guidance helped them grow as designers.

Overall, Project Runway Junior was a unique and entertaining take on the popular Project Runway franchise that showcased the talent of young designers and emphasized the importance of mentorship and teamwork. The show provided a platform for young designers to showcase their skills and creativity, and gave viewers a glimpse into the future of the fashion industry.
