Privileged is a drama series that aired on The CW network from September 2008 until February 2009. The show stars JoAnna Garcia Swisher as Megan Smith, a Yale graduate and aspiring journalist who is hired to be a live-in tutor for two high school girls in Palm Beach, Florida.

Megan is a smart, funny, and ambitious young woman who dreams of becoming a successful writer. However, when she graduates from college, she finds herself struggling to make ends meet. That's when she receives an unexpected job offer from a wealthy Palm Beach family, the Kingsleys. They want her to tutor their twin daughters, Rose and Sage, who are struggling in school.

As Megan settles into her new job, she discovers that the Kingsleys are not your typical family. Their social status and privilege have given them a sense of entitlement that often makes them selfish, snobbish, and careless. However, Megan soon realizes that Rose and Sage are not like their parents. They are bright, curious, and sensitive girls who just need someone to believe in them and help them reach their potential.

Megan's arrival in Palm Beach also brings some surprises for her. She reconnects with her estranged sister, Lily, who lives in the area and works as a makeup artist. Lily is wild, free-spirited, and always up for a good time, but she has a complicated past that she doesn't like to talk about. Megan's relationship with Lily is strained at first, but they gradually start to bond over their shared struggles and dreams.

In addition, Megan meets some of the other people who live and work in the Palm Beach community. She befriends Marco, a handsome bartender who has a crush on her, but is also dealing with some personal issues. She also gets to know Jacob, a quirky and brilliant writer who becomes her mentor and friend.

As the series progresses, Megan faces various challenges both in her personal and professional life. She has to balance her tutoring duties with her aspirations to become a writer, and she often finds herself caught in the middle of the Kingsleys' drama. She also has to navigate her complex relationship with Lily, who often makes reckless decisions that put them both in danger.

Privileged is a show that combines humor, drama, and romance in a refreshing and entertaining way. It offers a pointed critique of the excesses and inequalities of the wealthy elite, but also celebrates the resilience and creativity of ordinary people who dare to dream big. The performances of JoAnna Garcia Swisher and the rest of the cast are strong, and the writing is witty and engaging.

Sadly, Privileged was cancelled by The CW after one season, leaving fans disappointed and wondering what could have been. However, the show's legacy lives on, as it has inspired many viewers to pursue their passions and stand up for their beliefs, no matter what obstacles they may face. Privileged may have been a brief moment of television brilliance, but it will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who watched it.

Privileged is a series that ran for 1 seasons (18 episodes) between September 9, 2008 and on The CW
