In Private Practice season 5 episode 7, entitled "Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough," the doctors at Oceanside Wellness continue to deal with the aftermath of the plane crash that occurred earlier in the season. This episode finds them dealing with the physical and emotional consequences of the tragedy.
As Addison continues to struggle with her grief over the loss of her brother and the unborn child she was carrying at the time of the crash, she also faces a difficult decision when one of her patients asks her to help her end her life. As a doctor who swore to do no harm, Addison must grapple with the ethical and moral implications of such a request and decide what is the right thing to do.
Meanwhile, Violet is still reeling from her near-death experience in the crash and is struggling to come to terms with the fact that life is too short to waste time on things that don't truly matter. This leads her to make some bold moves in her personal and professional life, including confessing her love for a colleague and taking on a new and challenging case.
Elsewhere, Pete is dealing with his own demons as he tries to overcome his addiction to prescription drugs. With the help of a therapist and the support of his friends, he begins to see that he can overcome his addiction and rebuild his life.
Throughout the episode, the doctors at Oceanside Wellness are forced to confront their own mortality and the fragility of life. Despite the tragedies and challenges they face, they remain committed to their patients and to each other, determined to do whatever it takes to heal and move forward.
