In episode 7 of Prison School season 1, viewers get to see a whole new side of the strict and stern Vice President of the Underground Student Council, Meiko Shiraki. The episode begins with the boys of Hachimitsu Academy's underground prison council trying to scheme up a way to escape their confinement. However, their plans are swiftly shutdown when they are forced to attend a "punishment assembly" which turns out to be Meiko's Delicious Restaurant.
The punishment assembly, which is Meiko's idea of rehabilitation, is a gourmet cooking class where the boys are taught how to cook and serve a variety of dishes under Meiko's watchful eye. Initially, the boys are hesitant to partake in the class due to their history of being tormented by Meiko. However, when they learn that successfully completing the cooking class will earn them the chance to leave prison, they quickly jump at the opportunity.
As the boys begin their cooking lessons, they quickly realize that Meiko is not only a strict enforcer but also an incredibly skilled chef. She teaches them how to make a variety of dishes, from simple omelets to more complicated seafood stews. The boys are surprised to find that they actually enjoy the cooking class and start to bond with each other and Meiko.
Throughout the episode, Meiko's character is explored in greater depth. The audience learns about her troubled past and how she came to be the strict enforcer she is today. They also see her softer side as she bonds with the boys over their shared love of food and the joy it brings.
However, the cooking class is not without its challenges. In one scene, the boys are asked to serve a group of visiting school administrators and VIPs who are not pleased with the food and service they receive. Meiko and the boys must work together to rectify the situation and salvage the dinner.
The episode concludes with the boys serving the prison council members, including the strict Chairman, their newly acquired cooking skills. The council members are shocked at the quality of the food and are impressed by the boys' newfound talent. As a reward, the boys are given the chance to leave prison for a day and enjoy the outside world.
Overall, Meiko's Delicious Restaurant is a comedic and heartwarming episode that delves deeper into the characters of Prison School. It shows a different side of Meiko that viewers have not seen before and highlights the power of food in bringing people together.
