In the fourth episode of Prison Break's second season titled "First Down," Michael Scofield and his team continue their escape plan from Sona prison. However, things take an unexpected turn when Michael is forced to play a deadly game of American football against a fellow inmate in order to gain important information.
As Michael prepares for the game, he receives a visit from Mahone, the FBI agent who has been tracking him since his initial escape. Mahone offers Michael a deal - if he provides information about the location of his fugitive brother, Lincoln, Mahone will help him escape from Sona. But Michael refuses, determined to protect his brother at all costs.
Meanwhile, Lincoln and Sucre are still on the run as they attempt to flee the country and clear their names. They cross paths with a mysterious woman named Gretchen Morgan, who claims to have important information that can help them. However, they soon discover that Gretchen is not who she seems and that their alliance may put them in even more danger.
Back at Sona prison, Michael begins the football game, which quickly turns brutal as the other inmates try to take him out. With his life on the line, Michael must use his intelligence and quick thinking to not only win the game but also gain the information he needs to further their escape plan. But when things go awry and one of their teammates is killed, Michael and his team must regroup and come up with a new plan for their escape.
