After the explosive season premiere, "Prison Break" continues its thrilling ride with episode 2, "Otis." The episode picks up right where the previous one ended, with Michael, Lincoln, and the rest of the escapees on the run and trying to avoid being caught by the authorities.
The main focus of "Otis" is on the character of Otis (played by actor Jason Davis), a member of the prison's maintenance staff who was tasked with repairing the fence that the prisoners cut through to escape. Otis is a seemingly harmless and unassuming guy, but as the episode unfolds, we see that he has a dark side and is more dangerous than he appears.
Michael and Lincoln soon learn that Otis has figured out that they have escaped from prison and is now on their trail. The two brothers then become determined to get to Otis first and take him out before he can alert the authorities. But as they make their way towards him, they encounter various obstacles and setbacks, including a near-death experience for one of the escapees.
As the episode progresses, we also see more of the dynamics between the escapees, particularly the tension between Michael and T-Bag. This tension comes to a head when T-Bag tries to take control of the group and make a decision that Michael disagrees with. This leads to a heated argument and a physical altercation that threatens to derail their escape plan.
Meanwhile, outside of the prison, we see the efforts of the authorities to hunt down the escapees. FBI agent Alexander Mahone (played by William Fichtner) is introduced in this episode, and he quickly proves to be a formidable opponent to Michael and his team. Mahone is a highly intelligent and calculating agent who is able to piece together clues and anticipate the escapees' movements. It quickly becomes clear that he will be a major obstacle for Michael and Lincoln as they try to evade capture.
Overall, "Otis" is a tense and action-packed episode that keeps the momentum of the series going strong. The character of Otis adds an interesting new wrinkle to the story, and the introduction of Mahone gives us a formidable antagonist for the rest of the season. Fans of the show will no doubt be hooked and eagerly anticipating the next episode.
