Princess Tutu season 1 episode 7, named "The Crow Princess," continues the story of Duck, a duck who magically transforms into a ballet dancer named Princess Tutu. The episode begins with Duck having a recurring dream about a young girl who turns into a crow and flies away. She wakes up confused, wondering if the dream has anything to do with the mysterious crow she's seen flying around the town.
The story follows Fakir, the knight who is trying to keep Princess Tutu away from the Prince and his true love, Mytho. Fakir is given a task by the Raven, the puppet master who controls the town's inhabitants. The Raven wants Fakir to create a story that will convince Mytho to become his puppet once again. Fakir initially refuses, but when the Raven threatens to harm the one person Fakir cares about, he reluctantly agrees.
Meanwhile, Princess Kraehe, a black swan who is also in love with Mytho, sets her mind on finding the Raven's egg that will help her achieve her goal. The egg is said to grant the wishes of its owner, and Kraehe wants it to make Mytho hers forever. She goes to great lengths to find the egg, even going as far as to disguise herself as a human and enroll in the local high school.
As Duck tries to solve the mystery of the crow princess, she discovers that Kraehe is the one controlling the crow. Duck also learns that the crow was once a ballerina who died before she had the chance to perform the lead role in "The Prince and the Raven" ballet. Kraehe, having recognized the ballerina's talent, resurrected her as a crow and is now using her to find the Raven's egg.
Trying to help the crow princess fulfill her dream of performing the lead role, Duck and her friends organize a special performance of "The Prince and the Raven" ballet. The performance proves to be a success, and the crow princess is finally able to rest at peace. However, Kraehe still hasn't given up on finding the Raven's egg.
The episode ends with Fakir approaching Mytho with the story he created, hoping to turn him into the Raven's puppet. However, it is unclear what Mytho's reaction will be.
Overall, "The Crow Princess" is an exciting and suspenseful episode that adds new layers to the story of Princess Tutu. The introduction of the crow princess and her tragic backstory adds a new dimension to the show's focus on the power of storytelling. The ongoing battle between Princess Tutu and Kraehe over Mytho's heart is still at the forefront, and the tension between Fakir and the Raven continues to build. Viewers will be left eager to see how the story unfolds in future episodes.
