In Princess Tutu season 1 episode 3, titled "The Princess' Vow," we follow Ahiru (Princess Tutu) as she tries to help her friend, Mytho, regain his heart and emotions. After the previous episode left off with Mytho becoming more distant and emotionless, Ahiru wants to do whatever it takes to help him.
Ahiru turns to her ballet teacher, Mr. Cat, for guidance. He tells her that Mytho's heart shards may have been scattered across town and that she needs to find them before Raven (the villain) does. Ahiru then transforms into Princess Tutu and sets out to find the missing heart shards.
As she searches, she comes across a girl named Rue who is collecting the heart shards for Raven. Rue has her own reasons for helping Raven, but she seems sympathetic towards Ahiru and even offers to help her. Ahiru is hesitant, but eventually accepts Rue's help.
Together, they come across a boy named Fakir who has one of the heart shards. Fakir tells the girls that he found the shard by a lake and that he intends to keep it. Ahiru tries to reason with him, but Fakir is stubborn and won't listen to her. Rue then tries to take the shard by force, but Ahiru intervenes and the two girls end up arguing.
Eventually, Fakir agrees to give the shard to Ahiru if she can dance with him. Ahiru agrees and the two perform a beautiful ballet together. After the performance, Fakir gives Ahiru the shard and tells her to protect it well.
With the heart shard in hand, Ahiru sets out to find the rest of them. However, she soon realizes that Raven is one step ahead of her and has already collected most of the shards. Ahiru knows that she needs to do something quickly before it's too late.
The episode ends with Ahiru making a vow to herself that she will do whatever it takes to help Mytho regain his heart, even if it means going up against Raven and risking her own safety.
Overall, "The Princess' Vow" is an exciting episode that is full of action, suspense, and emotion. It sets up the rest of the season nicely by introducing new characters and plot points, while also exploring the themes of friendship, loyalty, and sacrifice. Fans of the show will definitely enjoy this episode and be left eagerly anticipating the next one.
