Princess Hours season 1 episode 2, titled "Princess Hours 2", continues to follow the story of Chae-kyeong, an ordinary high school girl who becomes the crown princess of Korea. In the previous episode, Chae-kyeong entered the palace and had her first encounter with the crown prince, Lee Shin, who initially had no interest in her. However, Chae-kyeong's positive attitude and ability to adapt to her new surroundings caught the attention of the royal family, including the queen.

The second episode begins with Chae-kyeong still struggling to adjust to the strict and formal rules of the palace. She receives help from her fellow palace maid Hyo-rin who teaches her how to properly pour tea and stay in line when walking with the other palace members. Despite the difficulties, Chae-kyeong remains optimistic and excited about the opportunity to experience palace life.

Meanwhile, Lee Shin is dealing with his own challenges as he is forced by the queen to pick a wife soon in order to secure the royal family's bloodline. Lee Shin is initially reluctant to participate in this traditional practice and expresses his frustration to his cousin, Yul, who has his own reasons for wanting Lee Shin to get married.

As the selection process begins, Chae-kyeong finds herself surprised to be included as a candidate for Lee Shin's potential wife. She is hesitant to participate due to her lack of interest in becoming a royal member, but is urged by the queen to consider it as a way to represent her family and gain respect from the others in the palace. Chae-kyeong's decision to join the selection process leads to some tension between her and her friend, Hyo-rin, who is also a candidate.

As the episode progresses, Chae-kyeong and Lee Shin are forced to interact more due to the selection process. They find themselves in several awkward and humorous situations as they try to understand each other's personalities and preferences. Chae-kyeong's easy-going nature and sense of humor begin to win over Lee Shin's initial indifference, and he starts to see her in a new light.

In addition to the selection process, the episode also introduces several other characters who will play important roles in the story, including Lee Shin's younger sister, Min-ha, who is protective of her older brother but also harbors her own secrets. The episode also reveals more about Yul's motivations and hints at a possible love triangle between him, Lee Shin, and Chae-kyeong.

Overall, Princess Hours season 1 episode 2, "Princess Hours 2", continues the engaging story and quirky humor of the previous episode. The selection process adds an interesting dynamic to the show and sets up potential conflicts and relationships between the characters. Chae-kyeong's optimistic and charming personality shines through even as she faces new challenges, making her a likable protagonist to follow. With the introduction of new characters and plotlines, the show is setting up for an intriguing and entertaining season.
