Tom and Duncan, two extreme sports enthusiasts, find themselves in trouble when they discover a strange creature while mountain biking. Desperate for help, they turn to Connor and Abby and together they investigate the creature's origin. Meanwhile, a new anomaly appears at a local hospital, leading the team to face a deadly predator from the future that is determined to hunt down its prey. As the team races to stop the predator before it's too late, they struggle with personal issues and tensions rise within their group.
