Ep 1. Pride and Prejudice Episode 1

Mrs. Bennet is in a rush to marry off her five daughters, especially as a wealthy bachelor, Mr. Bingley, has moved into Netherfield. At a ball, Mr. Bingley is taken with the eldest Bennet daughter, Jane. However, the second eldest, Elizabeth, clashes with Mr. Bingley's friend, the arrogant Mr. Darcy. Despite this, Mr. Darcy cannot help but be entranced by Elizabeth's wit and intelligence. Meanwhile, Elizabeth's younger sister, Lydia, scandalizes the family by eloping with a soldier. The first episode sets up the romantic tensions and societal expectations that will shape the rest of the series.
