In season 7 episode 3 of Pretty Little Liars, titled "The Talented Mr. Rollins," the aftermath of the girls' escape from the dollhouse continues to haunt them. Alison is struggling to cope with the disappearance of her husband, Dr. Rollins, who disappeared on the night of the girls' rescue. The Liars begin to suspect that something sinister is happening, as evidence begins to mount up that Rollins may not have been who he said he was.
Meanwhile, Emily is dealing with the fallout from her romantic misadventures, after hooking up with Sabrina and then coyly evading Sabrina's overtures. Aria, on the other hand, is grappling with where her loyalties lie - with her boyfriend Liam, who is on the verge of discovering Ezra's tell-all book about the Liars, or with Ezra, who is desperately trying to keep his true feelings hidden while navigating the increasingly complicated web of secrets and lies.
As the episode progresses, the Liars are forced to face some hard truths about themselves and each other. Hanna begins to question the motivations of Dr. Rollins, even as she tries to hold her own relationship with Caleb together. Spencer, still reeling from the revelation that her mother has a twin sister, tries to puzzle out the connection between the DiLaurentis family and Rollins' enigmatic past. And throughout it all, the girls are haunted by the specter of "A," who seems more relentless and dangerous than ever.
In the climactic final scene, the girls come face to face with a shocking piece of evidence about Dr. Rollins that shakes their understanding of everything they thought they knew. With each new revelation, the Liars continue to come closer to the dangerous truth about their tormentor, but it remains to be seen whether they can survive long enough to bring "A" to justice. As the game of cat and mouse continues to escalate, the Liars are left with no choice but to fight back and expose the truth - no matter what the cost.
