In season 2 episode 7 of Press Your Luck, titled "Still Standing", the game show continues with three new contestants trying their luck at winning big. Contestant one, John, a school teacher from Ohio, hopes to win enough to take his family on a much-needed vacation. Contestant two, Jessica, a stay-at-home mom from California, dreams of starting her own business with the winnings. And contestant three, Michael, a firefighter from New York, plans to use his winnings to invest in real estate.
As the game begins, the contestants take turns answering trivia questions to earn spins on the game board. With each spin, they have the chance to win cash, prizes, or additional spins. But they must also watch out for the dreaded "Whammy", a cartoon character that takes away all their winnings and leaves them with nothing.
Throughout the game, tensions rise as contestants go back and forth, stealing spins from each other and trying to land on big prizes. John takes an early lead, winning a new car and a trip to Hawaii. But Michael catches up quickly, winning a bonus spin and landing on $10,000.
Jessica struggles at first, losing all her spins to whammies. But she makes a comeback, winning a trip to Europe and a shopping spree at a luxury department store. As the game comes to a close, the contestants are neck and neck, with each one hoping to land on the big prize: a new house.
In the final round, they take turns spinning the board, each hoping to land on the coveted prize. John goes first and lands on a whammy, losing all his winnings. Michael spins and wins $5,000, leaving him in the lead. Jessica is last to spin and lands on the house, securing her victory and fulfilling her dream of starting her own business.
As Jessica celebrates her win, the other contestants congratulate her and reflect on their own experiences on the show. Despite the ups and downs, they all agree that it was an unforgettable experience, and they leave with new friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
