In the seventh episode of season 2 of PowerNation: Detroit Muscle, titled "Rub-a-dub Mini Tub", the crew gets to work on a 1972 Chevy C10 pickup truck that has a lot of rust and needs some major body work. The plan is to give the truck a complete makeover and make it look like it just rolled off the factory floor.
The team starts by stripping the truck down to its bare frame and using a wire wheel to remove all the rust. They then begin the process of cutting out the old, rusted parts of the truck and replacing them with new metal. This takes a lot of time and precision, but the crew is up for the challenge.
Once the body work is complete, the team moves on to the interior. They replace the old, worn out seats with new ones and install new carpeting. They also add a new sound system and a custom dashboard.
The real challenge of this project, however, is lowering the truck. The crew decides to do a mini-tub job to make room for bigger wheels and tires. This involves cutting out the inner fender wells and welding in new ones that are much wider. This allows the crew to install much wider tires and gives the truck a much more aggressive stance.
After all the work is complete, the truck is ready to hit the road. The crew takes it out for a test drive to see how it handles and to make sure everything is working properly. They are thrilled with the results and excited to show off their hard work to the world.
Overall, "Rub-a-dub Mini Tub" is a great episode for anyone who loves classic trucks and wants to learn more about the restoration process. The crew does an excellent job of explaining each step of the process and providing helpful tips along the way. Fans of the show will not be disappointed by this exciting and informative episode.
