After a shocking season premiere, "Power" season 5 episode 2, titled "Damage Control," sees the characters dealing with the aftermath of the previous episode's events.
Ghost (Omari Hardwick) is still struggling with the death of his daughter, Raina, while also trying to keep up appearances as a successful businessman and drug dealer. His relationship with his wife, Tasha (Naturi Naughton), is more strained than ever, with Tasha blaming Ghost for their daughter's death.
Meanwhile, Tommy (Joseph Sikora) is trying to keep his own drug operation running smoothly, but faces problems with an unpredictable new associate. He also has to contend with his complicated feelings toward his ex-girlfriend, LaKeisha (La La Anthony), who is now dating another man.
Detective Blanca Rodriguez (Monique Gabriela Curnen) is continuing her investigation into Raina's murder, and her focus seems to be on Dre (Rotimi Akinosho), who she believes could be connected to the crime.
In addition to all of this, the episode also introduces a new character, Tate (Larenz Tate), a politician who crosses paths with Ghost and Tasha.
As with previous episodes of "Power," "Damage Control" is full of twists and turns, as the characters try to navigate their complex relationships and the dangerous world they inhabit. The episode's title is apt, as many of the characters are doing their best to control the damage that has been done - whether it's Ghost trying to keep a lid on his emotional turmoil, or Tommy trying to keep his business on track despite various obstacles.
Overall, "Power" season 5 episode 2 is a tense and gripping installment that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats - and leaves plenty of questions to be answered in future episodes.
