- June 9, 2001
Power Rangers Season 9, Episode 19: Trip Takes a Stand
In this episode of Power Rangers, titled "Trip Takes a Stand," the nine Rangers find themselves facing off against a new villain named Notacon, who has the ability to control technology with his mind. Notacon creates a device that allows him to turn people into robotic slaves, which he uses to wreak havoc in the city.
Trip, the Green Ranger with a love for technology, decides that he wants to take on Notacon by himself. His friends try to talk him out of it, warning him that it's too dangerous and that they need to work as a team, but Trip is determined to prove that he can handle the situation on his own.
Meanwhile, the other Rangers are busy trying to stop Notacon's plans. They try to destroy the device that he's using to control people, but they end up getting ambushed by Notacon's robotic slaves. The Rangers are outnumbered, and it looks like Notacon has the upper hand.
Back at the Power Rangers' base, Trip sneaks out and heads to Notacon's lair. He manages to get inside undetected, but soon finds himself face to face with Notacon himself. Notacon uses his mind control powers to turn Trip into one of his robotic slaves, and orders him to attack the other Rangers.
The other Rangers are shocked when Trip suddenly turns on them, but they soon realize that he's not acting of his own free will. They decide that the only way to defeat Notacon is to destroy his mind control device, but they can't do it alone.
Knowing that they need Trip's help, the Rangers come up with a plan to reach out to him through the mind control. They manage to break through to Trip, who regains control of his own body and turns against Notacon.
Together, the Rangers manage to destroy Notacon's mind control device and free all of the people who were turned into robotic slaves. With the battle won, the Rangers return to their base, where Trip apologizes for not trusting his friends and working with them.
In the end, the Power Rangers stand victorious, and Trip learns that it takes more than just technical know-how to be a hero. He realizes that he has a great team of friends who are always there for him, and that working together is the only way to truly defeat evil.
