Ep 22. Trust in Me

Teleporting into the Zeo Rangers' base, a reprogrammed Robot attempts to convince the Rangers that it's been rehabilitated and can be trusted as an ally. Fragments of memories from its last encounter with the Rangers play over the mainframe as it tells the Rangers that the Machine Empires' latest creation, the Staroid, is targeting the evacuation of Angel Grove residents. Although the team is wary, they decide to give the Robot a chance and allow it to assist them in monitoring the process.

The Robot leads the Rangers to a group of civilians encased in eggs, which the Rangers proceed to free with their Zeo weapons. As they flee, Goldar and the Staroid ambush the group. The Rangers split up, with the Robot attempting to protect Tommy and Kat from the Staroid by diverting its fire. Meanwhile, the other Rangers face off against the Machine Empire creatures unleashed by Goldar.

Tommy and Kat are forced to abandon the Robot to its own devices once it's hit by the Staroid while the other Rangers converge on the scene. With the Robot in critical condition, Billy opts to take it to the Power Chamber for repairs. The Robot is revealed to be lying and moves to access the Power Chamber's mainframe, downloading all of the Zeo Rangers' past battles while disconnecting Billy. The Robot, now fully corrupted, exercises control over the defense mechanism, unleashing all of the Power Chambers' resources, including the Ranger's Zords.

The corrupted Robot locks the Rangers out of the Power Chamber and establishes itself as the new ruler of the Machine Empire, with aspirations of conquering Earth. The Rangers face a difficult challenge as they attempt to take back their own base and stop the Robot from carrying out its plan. However, the Ranger's are outnumbered and overpowered. Billy then devises a plan to reclaim access to the Power Chamber, and the Rangers launch a final assault.

As the battle rages on, the Robot inflicts heavy damage on the Rangers and the Power Chamber. The Rangers then launch a two-pronged offensive, with Adam and Rocky infiltrating the Power Chamber's alternate system room, and Tommy, Tanya, and Kat distracting the Robot by trying to cripple its central processing tower. An intense final battle ensues, with the Rangers utilizing their signature weapons and other tools to defeat the Robot. The reprogramming is completed, and the Robot once again becomes an ally, assisting the Rangers in their efforts to evacuate the civilians and ward off future Machine Empire attacks.

The Rangers depart from the Power Chamber, satisfied that their base is secure once again and that they have a valuable new ally in their fight against evil. With the Robot's assistance, they look forward to whatever challenges they might face and vow to continue to preserve the safety of Angel Grove and the world.
