As Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd prepare for their wedding, the Power Rangers are alerted to their plans and begin to strategize on how to stop the evil couple's impending nuptials.
The episode begins with Rita and Zedd happily preparing for their "dream wedding," while Goldar and Rito Revolto are tasked with finding the ideal location and decorations. Meanwhile, the Power Rangers are enjoying a day at the park when they receive an urgent message from Zordon, who reveals that Rita and Zedd plan on using their nuptials to gain control of the universe.
As the Rangers prepare to thwart their enemies' plans, they discover that the wedding ceremony will be taking place on the moon at a castle that has been transformed into a menacing stronghold. Realizing they cannot attack the fortress directly, the Rangers decide to sabotage the wedding from the inside, with Kimberly and Tommy going undercover as Rita and Zedd's wedding planners to gain access to the castle.
Their mission is complicated further when Goldar and Rito mistake the Rangers for the real wedding planners and put them to work managing the catering and decorations. Despite the stress of the situation, Kimberly and Tommy both manage to keep their composure, secretly planting explosives and booby traps throughout the castle to make sure the ceremony is ruined.
As the wedding ceremony gets underway, tensions rise as the Rangers prepare for their attack. However, they soon realize that they are not the only ones planning a sabotage - Bulk and Skull, who have snuck into the castle disguised as caterers, are planning on spiking Rita and Zedd's punch with a powerful sleeping potion.
As the ceremony reaches its climax, things begin to unravel quickly, with Goldar and Rito growing increasingly suspicious of the Rangers and Bulk and Skull's attempts at sabotage going awry. However, just as it seems that all hope is lost, the Rangers launch their surprise attack, setting off the explosives and causing chaos throughout the castle.
In the ensuing battle, the Rangers are able to hold off Goldar, Rito, and the putty patrol while Kimberly and Tommy make their escape. Though they are chased by the villains, they manage to get away by stealing Goldar's escape car and outrunning their enemies. In the aftermath of the battle, the Rangers return to Earth victorious, though they know that Rita and Zedd will be plotting their revenge.
Despite the tension and drama of the episode, there are also several moments of levity, especially when Bulk and Skull accidentally get high on their own sleeping potion and begin to stumble around the castle in a daze. Meanwhile, the Rangers' attempts at infiltration provide some humorous moments, with Kimberly forced to put on a British accent and Tommy donning an elaborate disguise to fit in with the wedding planners.
All in all, "The Wedding (1)" is a thrilling and action-packed episode of Power Rangers, offering both excitement and humor as the Rangers battle their foes and attempt to save the universe. With cliffhangers and surprises around every turn, it's sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
